Dear Klaus,

Just a few lines to express my gratitude for services rendered as our stand-in organist at our Sunday Eucharist for the past three weeks. Your thoroughness in preparation beforehand was exemplary, and your delivery very accurate and sensitive to our needs as a congregation, especially since during your three-week tenure we had three different worship leaders.

We would certainly wish to call upon your services again should the opportunity arise - for Sunday worship or perhaps for the occasional wedding or funeral.

With very best wishes,
Steve.

Dear Dr Klaus,

I am very late in doing so, but I wanted to write and thank you so much for your flexibility when you came and played for us at St Michael's. It was completely my fault, but I had not realised that Michael had already suggested the hymns for that Sunday, so when I arrived with my ready-printed booklets with a different selection it was not ideal! I should have thought this one through more fully, but I have to say that you were so very helpful and accommodating that the service went ahead without a hitch.

You picked up my booklet and very calmly and efficiently worked your way through to ensure we had ironed out any potential mishaps before the service and then played in such a manner that no one else would have guessed that we had given you so little warning of the actual hymns! You were even able to improvise on one carol which was not in the book, but you had heard being played before and were then able to play it by ear.

Your willingness and flexibility were so very much appreciated - especially as I know the preparation you always put in in advance, and it must have been frustrating for this not to have been fully used. You were professional and cheerful throughout, and for that I am very grateful. It is always a pleasure when you are asked to deputise and I hope that we will see you again before too very long.

Anne
